Our Third Week on Vancouver Island

Our third and last week at our little cottage by the sea gave us more flowers…

Some great hikes into a nearby wetland at Seal Bay Nature Park

A day high up in the mountains hiking the meadows and around a lake at Paradise Meadows on Mt. Washington…

More visits from wildlife…

And the ever-changing view of the mainland mountains across the saltwater…

We ended our third week by leaving our happy temporary home and moving to our timeshare in Victoria. A sunset across the harbor and Fisherman’s Wharf with its colorful houseboats greeted us as we settled into our condo.

On to city adventures.

About Paul

I'm retired, but working at painting, photography, and song writing. We like to travel and paint plein air in new places. Of course that's also where photography comes into the picture, so to speak. Sometimes I get inspired to write songs about the people and places we visit.

Hello and thank you for sharing the pixes of your 3rd week on Vancouver island. I like your photos but there is one that stands out in my humble opiinion and that is the photo of the mountains which is made up of all kinds of blue hints, It is just outstanding. Anyway, I am sure the set makes up for nice memories. Thank you again. Here in Paris, it is a bit weird to be without a real government and to watch on TV the Prime Minister who really is not the Prime minister or the Secretary of Justice who actually acts as if he was so but is no more so. It is all very ghoulish to see all these ghosts acting as if! Of course, now that Mr T. has been turned into a hero, because he turned his head and got lucky, the triumphalism oof the Republicans has become limitless. You not be so thrilled about such theatre. i send my love, JP

Hi Paul, As usual, your photos and notes are a delight to read. Wish I was there as I’ve read your commentary. Beda
