Lots of Parties

No photos, little comment…lots of parties meeting family and friends of our Niece and Nephew. The wedding is tomorrow. We will attempt to post some photos then.

Have I mentioned how high it is here? 7500 feet seems like Mt. Everest to those of us who live at sea level. Although it’s not hot yet, the air is so dry that my nose feels like it’s been swabbed with sand. However, this is a great time to visit the SW because it’s still only in the 70’s and 80’s.

Pike’s Peak dominates the city. This is the view from our Niece and Nephew’s house.

About Paul

I'm retired, but working at painting, photography, and song writing. We like to travel and paint plein air in new places. Of course that's also where photography comes into the picture, so to speak. Sometimes I get inspired to write songs about the people and places we visit.

Your response to the altitude and the desert weather seems like a warning for my trip to Santa Fe in July. All suggestions on how to be prepared are welcome.

A friend advised me on Facebook to put chapstick on the inside of my nose. It worked beautifully yesterday, so will be a regular morning routine as long as we are in these climes.

I am definitely jealous of the view that you nephew and niece have from their house. I cry in despair. But do enjoy.

    Jeannie,
Please give my best to Pat! LOL I talk with her here every few weeks.

      She returns your greetings.

The forecast is for ~80 at the time of the wedding which is outdoors. No rain in sight, thank goodness. Will try for some photos to post. I think it’s been a long time since you saw Megan and Erin.
