Creative Ruts

As a writer, musician, photographer, and an artist I sometime experience the dreaded creative rut. For me the solution is often to change medium of creative expression. Each medium requires a slightly different way of looking at the world. In a creative rut? Try a different activity that makes you use other “eyes.”

About Paul

I'm retired, but working at painting, photography, and song writing. We like to travel and paint plein air in new places. Of course that's also where photography comes into the picture, so to speak. Sometimes I get inspired to write songs about the people and places we visit.

    Well said Paul. For me it’s writing a book review or sitting at a Starbucks listening to jazz and munching a scone and reading a book.

    Love the headliner for the blog, and I’ve bookmarked your site so I can visit it frequently.
