Wet Day at Long Beach

It rained all night last night – hard. We had a small lake in front of Picasso in the morning and our awning was sagging with accumulated water. In the first 7 days of June Long Beach has exceeded last June’s rain for the whole month. Today was more of the same.

We managed to get out to the beach between showers for a walk. While raining we read in Picasso. It’s so much better than being in a tent in the rain. Another friend, Tracy, arrived this afternoon. She is staying with Molly next door to us.

This evening the rest of the rally folks arrived and we had a potluck in the clubhouse. Good food and lots of talk about trailers. Tomorrow there is the open house where we all visit each other’s rigs and talk shop, a kite flying session in the afternoon and a jam session party in the evening.

This evening I am unable to upload photos for some reason. I’ll try to solve the problem tomorrow. It’s time for bed.

About Paul

I'm retired, but working at painting, photography, and song writing. We like to travel and paint plein air in new places. Of course that's also where photography comes into the picture, so to speak. Sometimes I get inspired to write songs about the people and places we visit.
