Goodbye Arizona, Hello California

We left Williams this morning under sunny skies and 20 degree air. This is the first state or province on this trip that has not threatened us with snow, but Arizona has other dangers.

Here’s one last look at the desert before we crossed into California.

The drive through the Mojave Desert was starkly beautiful. Tonight we are in central California.

About Paul

I'm retired, but working at painting, photography, and song writing. We like to travel and paint plein air in new places. Of course that's also where photography comes into the picture, so to speak. Sometimes I get inspired to write songs about the people and places we visit.

Hello out there and thank you for sending pixes of your return. I, for one, have excellent memories of my visit into the Mojave desert, but that goes back a while: I am speaking of something around 1960 or so. Judging from your picture, it does not seem to have changed much, except that I do not remember having seen then any warning re snakes or scorpios. The animals were there though!
Enjoy the drive back! A big hug to you. JP
