Arrived in Downtown Chicago

After an hour delay taking off in Seattle we had a fairly smooth flight to Chicago. A speedy cab ride brought us to our hotel in the Loop. It is midnight here, so time for bed. No time for ukulele practice.

Lots to do tomorrow. The Art Institute beckons.

About Paul

I'm retired, but working at painting, photography, and song writing. We like to travel and paint plein air in new places. Of course that's also where photography comes into the picture, so to speak. Sometimes I get inspired to write songs about the people and places we visit.

I vividly remember Monet’s Haystacks. They had so much life to them, I wondered if they get lonely when there is no-one there to admire them. I’ve never had that thought about any other painting.

  2. Jean-Paul Dumont says:

If my memory serves me well, there a couple of magnificent Seurat paintings at the Art Institute; a wonderful picnic at La Jatte, but that I have not seen it in years. Do enjoy. Am back in Paris.
