Europe 2015

We are about to embark on another artistic painting and photography trip. The advance art bag is already in France, we have oriented our friends who will be staying in our house, and have our luggage ready to go. However, we had one last excursion before heading to London.

This weekend friends Ben Wills and Tessa Goldston were married. We couldn’t miss that so we drove to Portland for the wedding, celebrated mightily with them, and their friends and family.

Today we are back home making last minute nips and tucks in the packing to prepare for Europe 2015. For those who have followed our previous trips you will find the itinerary familiar. We seem to have found some places we dearly love to photograph and paint and return to them. We will begin in London, visit Paris, and then return to Atelier de la Rose for an art residency to really get ourselves into painting. We’ve rented a house in Provence for September, and another in Collioure for October. I intend to post photos and comments about the places we visit and our art work along the way. We would love to have you follow our adventures.

About Paul

I'm retired, but working at painting, photography, and song writing. We like to travel and paint plein air in new places. Of course that's also where photography comes into the picture, so to speak. Sometimes I get inspired to write songs about the people and places we visit.

Always incredible to watch another art adventure begin to unfold. You & Jean are keenly aware of how fortunate you are to have the health & resources to continue following your muses & your dreams. Those left behind in the Colonies shall track your celebratory insights; have another blast.

Rest assured that I shall do more than merely follow your adventures, as I intend to participate as well, first as your host in Paris and then as your guest in Collioure. The host is to remain singular, but the guest turns plural into guests since I shall be with Koko.
And thus, I am definitely ready to read and to enjoy your Travels with Picasso: May Europe 2015 begin with a quiet and relatively pleasant flight to the land of Albion.
