Yesterday we traveled across Washington into Idaho to Sandpoint. We stayed at the Best Western Edgewater, which (to no one’s surprise) is on the edge of Pend Oreille Lake. It was a warm, sunny day the likes of which we haven’t been seeing in Seattle. Upon arrival we discovered the beach covered with sun worshippers, the lake dotted with sailboats, and the teperature warm enough to sit on our deck. What a treat. I’ve included a few pics from our evening there.
This morning we awoke to a downpour. That continued throughout the day as we drove north into the Canadian Rockies. It continues to rain heavily as we sit in our Worldmark condo in Canmore, Alberta. Dinner and wine completed, we are checking e-mail and reading our Kindles the rest of the evening. Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow. My painting class begins Thursday.
